Master Plan for water supply and sanitation systems for the city of Salamanca (España)


The project consisted in the development and preparation of a Master Plan for the city of Salamanca  (aprox. 250.000 people).

To that end, mathematical models of supply  (330 km) and sanitation (275 km) networks were elaborated and calibrated appropriately, so that they could represent the present network behavior.

Existing supply problems were identified.

New areas of urban growth, according to the developments set out in the legislation in force, were incorporated into the model.

Models of the future networks were elaborated so that it supplied solutions, both to existing problems and to future needs produced by new urban growths.

The proposed solutions were designed and developed and their budget calculated, indicating the priorities for the works to perform.
