Study of combined sewer systems overflows (CSOs)

Modern sanitation and drainage systems are faced with two fundamental problems: solving the problem of floods due to hydraulic insufficiency in the system, and contributing to the attainment of the environmental and sustainable development goals, according to the Water Framework Directive (200/60/CE).

Reaching these goals in the management and operation of the sanitation networks requires the undertaking of studies based on mathematical models that allow for difficulties to be determined and for the optimization of the most convenient solutions.

A-CING has extensive experience in performing these types of studies and in designing solutions for CSOs, by means of new water pipes, remodelling of overflow channels, building of retention tanks, basins, optimization of propulsion, etc.
